Staff, Business Intelligence Engineer

Backend Developer • Remote • Full-time • 📍 Remote - US

Twilio is hiring a Staff Business Intelligence Engineer for its GTM Data Science & Analytics team to build trusted, reliable data models that power sales analytics, reporting, and AI capabilities across the Go-to-Market organization.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze large datasets using advanced techniques to extract insights and improve revenue operations efficiency
  • Build automated data reconciliation and quality checks for dashboards and reports
  • Create data visualizations that make complex insights accessible to a broad audience
  • Build and maintain data models supporting GTM strategic decisions
  • Drive BI-as-Code automation using Git, automated testing, and CI/CD pipelines
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Product
  • Identify opportunities to improve data quality, reporting, and analytics tooling

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in business intelligence, analytics engineering, or data engineering, ideally supporting GTM/sales analytics in SaaS
  • Experience with BI platforms such as Tableau, especially for executive and sales reporting
  • Advanced SQL expertise and hands-on data modeling experience
  • Proven ability to partner with stakeholders to codify and reconcile business metrics
  • Track record implementing data quality and testing frameworks, including CI/CD and data observability
  • Strong technical communication and mentorship skills

Nice to have

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a quantitative field (Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Economics)
  • Software engineering mindset applied to data (code reviews, automated testing, Dev/Staging/Prod separation)
  • Experience with code-based BI/semantic tools such as Looker/LookML, dbt, Cube.js, or Apache Superset
  • Strong Git and CI/CD proficiency (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins)
  • Experience with AI products such as Claude, Cortex, Glean, or Gemini
  • Experience with GTM tech stacks such as Salesforce or Gong
  • Experience establishing data culture and best practices in a fast-paced organization
