Senior Software Engineer, Developer Infrastructure

Responsibilities

• ▹Build and maintain the tooling that powers local and cloud-based developer environments
• ▹Improve CI for Sentry's codebases and CD for the deployment pipeline, keeping both fast and reliable as the org grows
• ▹Define and evolve the golden path for building new services and libraries at Sentry
• ▹Contribute to SDK and library publishing tooling and release processes
• ▹Build metrics, dashboards, and flaky test detection for deployment health and CI reliability visibility
• ▹Build tooling that gives engineers and AI coding agents the context they need to work within Sentry's systems and conventions
• ▹Partner directly with engineers across Sentry to find where infrastructure and developer experience need improvement

Requirements

• ▹5+ years of experience as a software engineer or in a similar role
• ▹Experience leading the full development lifecycle of complex projects
• ▹Strong proficiency in Python
• ▹Experience with Docker and container orchestration in production
• ▹Familiarity with CI/CD systems and what makes them fast and reliable at scale
• ▹A track record of building or significantly improving developer tooling or infrastructure
• ▹Demonstrated ability to influence engineering teams outside your own, building buy-in without direct authority
• ▹Strong written and verbal communication skills
