Senior Backend Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• ▹Develop solutions with a holistic approach to business needs, service architecture and infrastructure
• ▹Engage in the full SDLC, from requirements to monitoring, with end-to-end ownership
• ▹Take full ownership of code, continuously improving and refactoring
• ▹Build for performance, scale and resilience where downtime and data loss are unacceptable
• ▹Work in small, autonomous teams with short release cycles
• ▹Learn from peers and contribute to a culture of feedback and continuous improvement

Requirements

• ▹Experience building services in a microservices architecture
• ▹Strong understanding of communication protocols such as HTTP, WebSockets and AMQP
• ▹Experience with at least one modern web framework
• ▹Deep understanding of relational databases: indexing, transactions, isolation levels, locking
• ▹Ability to design and operate systems that perform reliably at scale
