Technical Account Manager – FinTech

Backend Developer • Remote • Full-time • 📍 San Francisco HQ

As a Technical Account Manager for FinTech, you will work with Plaid's most technical FinTech customers, driving technical strategy, optimizing integrations, and acting as their internal advocate.

Responsibilities

  • Work with Plaid's most tech-savvy FinTech customers as a technical expert on their business and technical goals
  • Own post-sales technical strategy and roadmap alignment with customers
  • Proactively identify opportunities to optimize integrations and drive adoption of new technical features
  • Establish and own deep relationships with every level of technical stakeholder, from engineers to CPOs/CTOs
  • Champion customers internally, translating feedback into product insights
  • Serve as the escalation point for technical incidents beyond normal support channels
  • Track customer integration health and feature adoption metrics
  • Collaborate with Account Managers to define and deliver quarterly technical account goals

Requirements

  • 5+ years in a client-facing and technology-focused role combining business and technical acumen
  • Experience independently managing customer relationships and executing technical strategies
  • Demonstrated ability to tie technical solutions to business objectives, KPIs, and revenue outcomes
  • Excellent project management and communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
  • Deep understanding of APIs, databases, system infrastructures, and architecture
  • Self-starter with strong troubleshooting skills
  • Experience influencing technical decision-makers and building trust up to the C-suite

Nice to have

  • Experience with tools like Postman, SQL, and monitoring/logging dashboards
