Senior Solutions Architect - Airflow (East Coast)

Responsibilities

• ▹Lead architecture reviews, workshops, and technical design sessions with engineering teams and executive stakeholders
• ▹Design end-to-end platform architectures integrating Airflow with cloud infrastructure, compute frameworks, and data platforms
• ▹Review delivery work to ensure high standards for scalability, observability, security, and operational excellence
• ▹Diagnose and resolve issues, guiding customers through deployments, migrations, and platform modernization
• ▹Build reusable tools, frameworks, reference architectures, and best practices that improve delivery quality

Requirements

• ▹8+ years of experience in data engineering, platform engineering, or solution architecture
• ▹Airflow expertise authoring and deploying DAGs to production, monitoring execution, and troubleshooting failures
• ▹Experience tuning Airflow performance, refactoring DAG code, right-sizing infrastructure, and implementing data quality checks and alerts
• ▹Proven track record guiding customers through platform deployments, migrations, or technical transformations, managing scope, timelines, and stakeholder conflicts
• ▹Strong background designing cloud-native data platforms on AWS, Azure, or GCP, with familiarity in enterprise networking, security, and identity patterns
• ▹Programming experience in Python and SQL
• ▹Familiarity with CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, Docker, and Kubernetes
• ▹Experience with Databricks, Snowflake, dbt, BigQuery, or Redshift
• ▹Track record leading architecture discussions and driving technical decisions with engineering leaders and executives
• ▹Strong communication and documentation skills, translating business requirements into scalable, production-ready architectures
