Engineering Manager - Employee Spend

Responsibilities

• ▹Vision & alignment: work with the Product Lead and Product Managers to set clear direction for a group of product teams
• ▹Directly manage, mentor, and coach Engineers and Tech Leads
• ▹Evaluate, introduce, and integrate AI development tools and methodologies to safely boost developer velocity
• ▹Drive quality and mindset: customer-centric, solution-oriented thinking and high-quality, scalable software delivery
• ▹Continuously improve tooling and processes, manage technical debt, optimise developer velocity
• ▹Represent engineering in key initiatives at department and company level
• ▹Design the organisation, set clear objectives, and maintain a high standard in people, delivery, and technology

Requirements

• ▹Concrete software development experience and a sharp, active interest in technology
• ▹High adaptability and active adoption of AI-driven ways of working (AI coding assistants, automated testing, LLM tooling)
• ▹Genuine passion for people management and coaching
• ▹Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with product and business stakeholders
• ▹Experience optimising team processes and removing roadblocks
• ▹Excellent communication skills toward both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Nice to have

• ▹Prior experience successfully championing an AI transformation within a team
