Engineering Manager, GenAI Platform

Responsibilities

• ▹Lead the GenAI Platform team day-to-day as a builder-leader: delivery, quality, team development, ways of working
• ▹Own execution of the platform roadmap: LLM gateway, agentic runtime, MCP layer, data retrieval, eval tooling, hybrid architecture transition
• ▹Manage the stakeholder relationship with Data & AI Products as the primary internal customer, ensuring the roadmap is shaped by product demand
• ▹Drive active hiring to build the team needed to deliver the technical vision
• ▹Partner with SRE on reliability standards, incident management, and production readiness
• ▹Represent the team in leadership and cross-functional discussions, translating platform progress and blockers into decisions
• ▹Own the team's cost and resourcing decisions: LLM spend, infrastructure costs, headcount

Requirements

• ▹Significant engineering management experience in platform or infrastructure teams, balancing technical delivery, hands-on judgment, and people leadership
• ▹Deep technical expertise in AI infrastructure, able to take part in architectural discussions and hands-on work
• ▹Experience managing senior, highly autonomous engineers
• ▹Demonstrated experience leading teams through significant architectural change while maintaining delivery velocity
• ▹Experience with AI-assisted engineering tools such as Claude Code, Codex, or Cursor
