Senior Software Engineer, AI Integrations

As a Senior Engineer on the AI Integration team, you'll ensure seamless data flow across 40+ EMR systems, using LLM technology to automate the reverse-engineering of health records.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement complex integration solutions with third-party healthcare systems (EHRs, insurance providers)
  • Utilize the latest LLM technology to automate the reverse-engineering of electronic health records
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product, engineering, healthcare) to define integration requirements and technical approaches
  • Contribute to the technical direction of the integration platform: architecture, tools, technologies
  • Own end-to-end integration workflows from design and development through deployment and monitoring
  • Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and troubleshoot integration issues
  • Ensure integration work adheres to healthcare compliance standards (HIPAA, HL7, FHIR), partnering with security teams
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers
  • Drive best practices for testing, error handling, version control, and continuous integration
  • Collaborate with DevOps and QA teams on monitoring and alerting systems
  • Stay current on healthcare technology trends and integration patterns
  • Participate in agile development cycles, including sprint planning and retrospectives

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of professional software development industry experience
  • Proficiency in backend languages: Python, Go, or C++
  • Proficiency in frontend languages: JavaScript, HTML, CSS
  • Experience with Git, GCP/AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, relational and non-relational databases, monitoring/alerting tools
  • Proven track record designing and implementing end-to-end solutions and making architectural decisions
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
