Training, Process Management Engineer

Stack

Responsibilities

• ▹Work across the Python and Rust stack
• ▹Design, build, and maintain software to orchestrate and monitor ML workloads on the largest supercomputers
• ▹Profile and optimize the software stack for frontier-scale compute orchestration
• ▹Improve reliability, observability, and fault tolerance for long-running jobs
• ▹Debug complex distributed systems issues across large clusters
• ▹Respond to the evolving needs of the ML systems and compute stack to enable researchers

Requirements

• ▹Experience developing distributed systems (not just operating them)
• ▹Strong software engineering skills, proficient in Python and Rust or another systems language (e.g. C++)
• ▹Solid Linux knowledge; comfortable with systems-level debugging, performance analysis, and memory profiling
• ▹Experience with asynchronous and concurrent systems
• ▹Enjoyment of understanding how large systems behave and fail at scale
• ▹Deep care for performance, correctness, and reliability
