We're seeking an Electrical Engineer with experience in wearable products or similar consumer electronics, who can own and drive system design through to production.

Responsibilities
- ▹Own and drive the electrical architecture, design, prototyping, and development of one or more hardware systems (MCU/SOC/FPGA, battery, sensing, RF, audio)
- ▹Contribute to hardware process and tool flow definition, vendor engagement, and management
- ▹Serve as a domain expert on one or more areas of electrical design (audio, DSP, battery, RF, sensing)
- ▹Define hardware roadmaps, architectures, trade-offs, specifications, and development plans for wearable electronics
- ▹Hands-on PCBA design and bring-up: component selection, schematic, layout, assembly, test/debug
- ▹Collaborate with mechanical, firmware, software, UX, and ML partners to define and optimize hardware systems
- ▹Identify, evaluate, and engage partners and vendors to accelerate hardware development
Requirements
- ▹Experience working independently in high-ambiguity environments
- ▹10+ years of experience owning and delivering complex EE designs
- ▹5+ years leading and delivering complex projects spanning computing, electrical systems, sensors, power, mechanical, and firmware
- ▹Experience shipping and supporting complex products including sensors, compute, HMI, and battery
- ▹Strong fundamental EE skills across analog and digital domains, PCB design, and simulation tools
- ▹Familiarity with firmware development, comfortable with independent basic bring-up and debug code
- ▹Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- ▹BS or MS in EE or equivalent
Nice to have
- ▹Deep experience in one area: battery, RF, capacitive touch, audio, or image sensors
- ▹Experience developing and shipping a wearable product with ML-powered features under challenging power/form-factor constraints
- ▹Experience selecting and guiding partners to augment development speed
- ▹Familiarity with ML algorithms, data collection, and hardware acceleration
- ▹Experience in a startup or research organization
