Developer Success Engineer - UK/Ireland

Backend Developer • Remote • Full-time • 📍 Ireland

At Knock, the Developer Success Engineer is the customers' technical point of contact from initial trial through implementation and expansion, helping developers get the most out of Knock's cross-channel notification platform.

Responsibilities

  • Own the technical relationship with the largest customers from initial implementation through launch and ongoing optimization
  • Lead bi-weekly check-ins, consult on implementation plans, create solution documents, answer technical questions in Slack
  • Jump into code with customers: review implementations, debug integration issues, write sample code
  • Triage inbound questions from self-serve customers on Slack and email, often digging into the codebase or production data
  • Identify and fix friction in the developer experience: write documentation, file bugs and feature requests
  • Create technical content: sample apps, integration guides, video walkthroughs, reference code
  • Support sales conversations with technical prospects and proof of concepts

Requirements

  • A love for solving open-ended problems and endless curiosity
  • 2+ years of experience as a developer success engineer or adjacent role, ideally at a developer tools company with direct customer contact
  • Recent experience at an early-stage startup
  • Strong technical generalist, comfortable discussing product features and architecture
  • Prior experience debugging API integrations
  • Prior development experience with one or more languages (JavaScript, Ruby, Python, Go, Java, or similar)
  • Excellent writing skills
  • Located in UK/Ireland
