Senior Security Engineer

Responsibilities

• ▹Clearly articulate business risks to team leadership and partner teams
• ▹Lead security operations: vulnerability management, SAST, DAST, detection engineering, incident response
• ▹Integrate security into applications throughout the software development lifecycle
• ▹Collaborate with product and development teams to ship secure software without compromising agility
• ▹Drive and support the bug bounty program, application security reviews, and threat modeling (code review, dynamic testing)
• ▹Assess and integrate security tools to automate and scale security processes (open-source vs. vendor solutions)
• ▹Gather and analyze security metrics to resolve cross-team dependency issues

Requirements

• ▹5+ years of experience in Application/Product Security or Security Operations, with a strong focus on security tool onboarding and optimization
• ▹Understanding of vulnerability management, network security, cloud security concepts, and industry best practices
• ▹Comfortable with ambiguity and able to make informed decisions with limited data
• ▹A flexible, constructive approach to problem solving
• ▹Ability to make build-vs-buy trade-offs
• ▹Understanding of secure engineering best practices, and the ability to explain problems and solutions to technical and non-technical audiences alike
• ▹Deep technical understanding of common security vulnerabilities, risks, and countermeasures
• ▹A hands-on engineer interested in automating controls
