Quality Engineer, Network Monitoring

Responsibilities

• ▹Support the team in a dynamically growing monitoring area, particularly around Cisco ThousandEyes technology
• ▹Provide technical implementation, analysis and support to fill the team's knowledge gaps

Requirements

• ▹At least 1 year of experience in network monitoring
• ▹Knowledge of or experience with Cisco ThousandEyes
• ▹English language skills, minimum B2 level
• ▹At least 1 year of experience implementing, configuring and automating monitoring solutions
• ▹Confident knowledge of network protocols (e.g. TCP/IP, HTTPS, DNS)
• ▹Experience monitoring network architectures and endpoints
• ▹Comprehensive understanding of network monitoring concepts and best practices
• ▹Ability to recognize typical network and performance issues (e.g. differences between MPLS, SD-WAN, Dark Fiber)
• ▹Analyzing monitoring data and producing reports
• ▹Ability to communicate technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences

Nice to have

• ▹German language skills
• ▹Experience analyzing monitoring data and producing reports
• ▹Recognizing and interpreting network problems
• ▹Certifications in network monitoring or cloud technologies
