Senior/Staff Infrastructure Security Engineer

Responsibilities

• ▹Develop and maintain self-service internal security platforms for managing secrets, identity perimeters, and security guardrails at scale
• ▹Automation and DevSecOps: write production-grade services to automate complex security workflows
• ▹Infrastructure-as-Code: establish automated security guardrails and golden path modules, codifying networking, IAM, Kubernetes, and databases
• ▹Build the security data backbone: design, build, and operate high-scale data pipelines for security telemetry
• ▹Enable cross-functional teams: integrate security requirements into the developer lifecycle without friction
• ▹Greenfield leadership: influence the security stack, build vs. buy decisions, and establish engineering standards for a growing team

Requirements

• ▹8+ years of software engineering experience, including 5+ years of infrastructure-as-code experience in a cloud-first organization
• ▹"Platform first" mindset: years building in cloud-native environments (GCP or AWS), viewing security as a platform service, not a gate
• ▹Experience designing for high availability and scale, handling bursty security log traffic, building resilient distributed systems
• ▹Expert proficiency in at least one modern general-purpose language (Python is a plus)
• ▹Demonstrated ability to drive large, cross-functional technical projects impacting security posture across the organization
• ▹Pragmatic execution: bias for action, navigating ambiguity, weighing security risks against business velocity
