Senior System Administrator (Linux, Networking & Automation)

We are looking for an experienced, hands-on system administrator to solve complex challenges in the day-to-day operations of a hyperscaler's cloud backend, with a strong focus on end-of-life hardware services.

Responsibilities

  • Solve complex challenges in the day-to-day operations of a hyperscaler's cloud backend, with a strong focus on end-of-life services (hardware)
  • Work hands-on at the console
  • Move from insight to action, working directly with the technologies that power the platform
  • Turn operational know-how into impact by joining project rollouts and launching new features and tools
  • Drive end-to-end automation using industry-standard automation frameworks
  • Collaborate in a team of specialists with open communication, trust and mutual support

Requirements

  • Completed studies in a technical, engineering or scientific field, or comparable professional training
  • 5-7 years of hands-on IT experience with a focus on modern cloud technologies, ideally hardware-related (upgrades, patches, lifecycle management, bug and incident management)
  • Strong Linux, Bash and IT network fundamentals (ideally basic OpenStack knowledge)
  • Excellent knowledge of physical and virtual networks, routing and firewalls
  • Extensive experience in infrastructure automation
  • Fluent written and spoken English

Nice to have

  • Experience in infrastructure automation (Ansible, Terraform, APIs or similar)
  • Experience with OpenStack and contributions to open-source projects
