Sr Technical Program Manager, Data Center Operations - European Sovereign Cloud

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking an experienced Senior Technical Program Manager (TPM) to join the European Sovereign Cloud (ESC) Data Center Infrastructure Operations team based in Berlin/Brandenburg, Germany. This is a centralized program leadership role, serving as single-threaded owner (STO) for key cross-cutting programs, acting as bridge between centralized AWS teams and local ESC operations. You will partner with software and operations teams as well as business and corporate functions to develop and improve tooling, processes and vendor engagement. You will make trade-off calls in ambiguous environments, and drive delivery across teams that don't report to you. If you thrive on complex cross-functional problems where no one hands you a playbook, this is the role. Key job responsibilities In this role, you will: - Own large-scale strategic programs to improve Data Center tooling and processes. - Develop metrics and processes to report progress and escalate bottlenecks. - Drive operating model decisions and coordinate cross-team implementation. - Serve as STO for product changes and systems rollouts in the region; define standard launch playbooks. - Own and continuously improve operational readiness processes for new site launches. - Strategically manage and improve processes governing external stakeholder interactions. - Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across the organization. - Communicate project updates effectively and ensure alignment on goals and objectives. ## Basic Qualifications - Experience in technical product or program management - Experience working directly with engineering teams - Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules - Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition - This role requires you to be a national of an EU member state. ## Preferred Qualifications - Experience in project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management - Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules - Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership - Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science or equivalent - Experience working in a fast paced, quickly changing or international environment Amazon is an equal opportunities employer.
