Embedded Linux Kernel Developer

Responsibilities

• ▹Design and implement embedded Linux software for the medical technology field
• ▹Develop the Linux kernel, drivers and middleware
• ▹Conceive test strategies and extend the existing test framework
• ▹Take responsibility for components across their full lifecycle
• ▹Continuously develop the S.I.E HMI platform and maintain its board support packages
• ▹Commission hardware and develop test tools
• ▹Develop the security concept

Requirements

• ▹Technical degree (FH/TU) in electronics, electrical engineering, telematics or comparable
• ▹Several years of experience designing and developing embedded Linux, especially on ARM
• ▹Good understanding of software development processes and software architecture (UML)
• ▹Solid understanding of modern software toolchains (e.g. git, Jenkins, Jira, Confluence)
• ▹Very good German and English language skills

Nice to have

• ▹Programming knowledge in Lua, Qt and Java
