Linux System Engineer

Responsibilities

• ▹Implement new modules into server systems and ensure their optimization and integration
• ▹Analyze faults and resolve the resulting incidents
• ▹Contribute to the planning and execution of diverse IT projects
• ▹Migrate and consolidate existing Linux operating systems
• ▹Administer, configure, monitor, and update Linux servers
• ▹Carry out upgrades, updates, patches, and necessary security measures

Requirements

• ▹Completed training as Fachinformatiker or comparable relevant Linux admin experience
• ▹Knowledge of Linux server operating system administration
• ▹Skills in administering web and database servers
• ▹Fluent German and good English

Nice to have

• ▹Experience with BASH and scripting languages (PHP, Perl, Python, awk)
• ▹Experience with automation solutions (SUSE Manager, SaltStack, Ansible)
• ▹Experience in application support and patch management
