Responsibilities

• ▹Develop hardware-related software for complex microcontroller systems using modern C++ standards in the high-power environment
• ▹Contribute to innovative plasma generators for the chip industry within an agile, forward-looking development team
• ▹Control and integrate peripheral interfaces (GPIO, UART, SPI, I2C, ADC, PWM) and CAN bus systems
• ▹Commission new hardware components, perform board bring-up tests based on schematics and datasheet analysis, and conduct systematic troubleshooting using an oscilloscope and JTAG/SWD debuggers
• ▹Implement demanding real-time requirements through intensive use of systems such as RTOS or Zephyr
• ▹Optimize firmware for runtime, memory usage and energy efficiency in close collaboration with hardware development

Requirements

• ▹Technical education in computer science, electrical engineering or a comparable field
• ▹Solid experience in object-oriented software development with modern C++ in a Linux environment, plus routine use of Git version control
• ▹Confident use of C++ unit test frameworks, debugging tools and communication protocols such as SPI, I2C or Ethernet
• ▹Practical experience with real-time operating systems combined with an independent, solution-oriented way of working
• ▹Very good German and English language skills

Nice to have

• ▹Initial exposure to forward-looking tools such as GitLab CI, Docker or the Robot Framework
