Senior System Engineer - Linux & Cloud - 100% Remote

Stack

Responsibilities

• ▹Operate and develop a private cloud with connected Azure environments
• ▹Ensure stable, performant operation of Linux systems (Ubuntu) and continuously optimize existing setups
• ▹Operate, maintain and develop web and database services (Apache, Nginx, MariaDB)
• ▹Support development teams on infrastructure topics involving PHP, Node.js and Python (e.g. FastAPI)
• ▹Actively shape IT security measures and support ISO standard initiatives
• ▹Proactively monitor performance, availability and security, identifying optimization potential

Requirements

• ▹Completed vocational training or degree in IT or a comparable qualification
• ▹Several years of experience in Linux system administration and server operations
• ▹Experience with cloud or hybrid infrastructures, ideally Azure
• ▹Hands-on experience hosting and operating web servers and databases
• ▹Business-fluent German and good English

Nice to have

• ▹Interest in IT security, standards and clean processes
• ▹Willingness to grow into a technical lead role (no prior leadership experience required)
