Senior Data Engineer – Euskirchen (hybrid)

Stack

Responsibilities

• ▹Conduct data analyses that support data-driven decisions across all areas of the business
• ▹Work with a mature modern data stack: data in Snowflake, modeling with dbt, reporting via Amazon Quicksight
• ▹Use a central data warehouse spanning diverse sources: POS systems, sales and movement data, web tracking, and e-commerce data across the full customer journey (from product listing through cart to payment)
• ▹Serve as the central point of contact for reporting requirements and evolving the complex data model
• ▹Collaborate closely with internal developers and external partners to continuously improve data-driven decision-making

Requirements

• ▹Several years of experience as a Data Engineer or Data Architect, ideally at a company with web and app products
• ▹Confident handling of complex SQL queries
• ▹Experience with BI tools (Tableau, Power BI, or Looker – Amazon Quicksight is used here)
• ▹Knowledge of data governance, security requirements, and compliance (GDPR)
• ▹Strong communication skills in German (at least C1) and English
• ▹Structured way of working, effective prioritization, experience with tools like Jira or Asana

Nice to have

• ▹E-commerce experience, understanding how products flow through the system architecture (from online shop through order processing to billing)
• ▹Experience with cloud solutions like Snowflake and AWS, plus dbt and Git
