Staff Engineer, Checkout Platform

Responsibilities

• ▹Build scalable, channel-independent checkout services
• ▹Define APIs, domain boundaries and integration patterns
• ▹Drive technical alignment with Checkout and Payment teams
• ▹Mentor and grow engineers
• ▹Partner with Product on AI-powered commerce features

Requirements

• ▹Strong Java and backend engineering expertise
• ▹Staff/Principal level or equivalent experience
• ▹Large-scale distributed systems design
• ▹Independent technical decision-making
• ▹Experience in greenfield/0-to-1 environments

Nice to have

• ▹Experience with headless or traditional checkout
• ▹Order management experience
• ▹SaaS/platform engineering background
• ▹E-commerce or marketplace experience
