Responsibilities

• ▹Expand and strengthen core P2P networking primitives
• ▹Implement high-performance networking code
• ▹Optimize network protocols for performance
• ▹Implement custom binary protocols and serialization
• ▹Profile and optimize networked systems

Requirements

• ▹Extensive knowledge of P2P protocols (Kademlia, BitTorrent, libp2p, hypercore)
• ▹Experience optimizing network protocols
• ▹Advanced JavaScript for high-performance networking
• ▹Deep UDP/TCP-IP knowledge incl. NAT traversal
• ▹Experience with custom binary protocols
• ▹Familiarity with cryptographic primitives
• ▹Performance profiling experience

Nice to have

• ▹5+ years building production P2P/distributed systems
• ▹Experience optimizing JS for low latency
• ▹Knowledge of V8 internals
• ▹Experience with libuv and async I/O in C
• ▹Open-source P2P contributions
