The opportunity
EY is growing its Architecture capability and is looking for experienced Enterprise Architects to join our Technology Consulting team within TST in Amman. You will support major transformation initiatives across the Middle East, working with clients across government, public sector and large enterprise environments.
In this role, you will help clients define architecture strategies, design target-state architectures, establish governance frameworks, and support business and technology transformation programs across MENA, both remotely and onsite as required.
Key responsibilities
• Lead architecture assessments, enterprise architecture engagements and transformation initiatives.
• Understand business strategy and vision, and translate them into enterprise-wide technology vision and architecture strategy aligned to client priorities.
• Develop business, application, data, technology and security architectures.
• Define architecture principles, standards, target architectures and transformation roadmaps.
• Design enterprise and solution architectures aligned with business objectives and technology strategy.
• Create architecture artifacts, including capability models, reference architectures, solution blueprints, integration architectures, roadmaps and application interaction diagrams.
• Establish and support architecture governance processes and Architecture Review Boards (ARBs).
• Conduct architecture reviews, solution assurance activities and compliance assessments.
• Evaluate technologies, platforms and vendor solutions, and provide architecture recommendations.
• Analyze application portfolios, identify dependencies and common platform components, and assess migration feasibility.
• Facilitate stakeholder workshops and engage senior business and technology leaders.
• Support proposals, business development and thought leadership activities for the architecture practice.
• Leverage EY's global network and cross-functional expertise to develop relevant enterprise architecture insights.
Technical skills requirements
• Experience specializing in enterprise architecture, solution architecture, technology architecture and architecture standards.
• Ability to develop target-state architectures, architecture roadmaps, governance frameworks, architecture principles and standards.
• Hands-on experience designing enterprise solutions across applications, integration, cloud, data, security and platform domains.
• Experience conducting architecture reviews, architecture assurance and design governance activities.
• Ability to develop reference architectures and technology blueprints based on business and non-functional requirements.
• Ability to identify technology standardization opportunities, assess options, weigh implementation complexities and risks, and make sound technical recommendations.
• Experience with enterprise architecture tools such as MEGA, ARIS, Alfabet or similar platforms is advantageous.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform or similar environments is advantageous.
• Understanding of modern architecture patterns, including microservices, APIs, integration platforms, containerization and service-oriented architecture.
• Good understanding of business process management, business rules management systems and enterprise integration concepts.
• Strong consulting, communication, stakeholder management and facilitation skills.
Required qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or a related discipline.
• 4-7 + years of experience in enterprise architecture, solution architecture and/or technology architecture roles.
• Arabic language proficiency is required.
• Strong ability to engage with business and technology stakeholders and translate business needs into practical architecture outcomes.
• Experience supporting architecture work in government, public sector, large enterprise or regulated industry environments.
Preferred qualifications
• TOGAF Standard 10th Edition or TOGAF 9.2 certification.
• Exposure to national or government enterprise architecture frameworks such as NORA or equivalent frameworks is advantageous.
• Experience with digital government architecture methodologies or government enterprise architecture frameworks is advantageous.
• ArchiMate, cloud, security, PMP, ITIL, COBIT, SAFe or related certifications are advantageous.
• Experience supporting architecture governance, Architecture Review Boards and solution assurance processes.
