Senior Go Backend Developer (Catalog)

Stack

Responsibilities

• ▹Build and maintain the Go microservice architecture, interfacing with the TypeScript/React frontend
• ▹Build asynchronous microservice communication and event streaming pipelines (Kafka, SQS/SNS, Kinesis) collecting billions of daily API events into the data lake
• ▹Optimize queries across hundreds of terabytes of data in DynamoDB, MySQL, Druid and Athena to reduce API response times
• ▹Expose transparent, well-documented open APIs to enterprise partners
• ▹Integrate machine learning algorithms into the core application with the Data Science team to optimize real-time ad targeting
• ▹Participate in peer code reviews and technical knowledge sharing in an international backend team

Requirements

• ▹5+ years of backend development experience, at least 3 years writing Go in production distributed environments
• ▹Hands-on experience designing asynchronous communication with event buses (Kafka, SQS/SNS, Kinesis)
• ▹Understanding of database internals and low-level web standards (HTTP protocol, encoding, regular expressions)
• ▹Quickly grasp complex technical topics and applied mathematics
• ▹Fluent and precise spoken and written English

Nice to have

• ▹Hands-on experience with Terraform (Infrastructure as Code), Docker containerization or serverless infrastructure
