Responsibilities

• ▹Implement Temporal workflow activities in Go: HSS adapter, PCRF adapter, inventory update
• ▹Build and validate unit tests for all workflow activities from day one
• ▹Build the inventory management database: tables, indexes, partitioning for 30M records
• ▹Build bulk import tooling: CSV to ICCID/IMSI/MSISDN range ingestion from vendor
• ▹Implement REST API endpoints for the inventory database: allocate, reserve, release, query
• ▹Write integration tests: workflow to mock network element to database assertions
• ▹Support the senior developer on all workflow development tasks, with pair programming
• ▹Build an end-to-end test suite: full provisioning flow from SIM activation to order closed
• ▹Perform load and stress testing: simulate peak TPS provisioning
• ▹Integrate test automation into the CI pipeline for all workflow and API tests
• ▹Implement HSS sync integration: IMSI allocation state reflected in HSS
• ▹Implement MNP (number portability) hooks in the inventory database
• ▹Support UAT: reproduce bugs, write regression tests, validate fixes

Requirements

• ▹2-4 years of backend software development experience in production environments
• ▹Go or Java, primarily Go (Java accepted with strong fundamentals and willingness to transition)
• ▹REST API development for APIs consumed by other services and tested by automated suites
• ▹PostgreSQL: table design, indexes, writing queries, understanding query plans
• ▹Unit and integration testing as a first-class responsibility
• ▹Git: branching, pull requests, code review participation
• ▹Experience with event-driven architectures: RabbitMQ, Kafka or Redis Pub/Sub
• ▹Basic Kubernetes knowledge
• ▹Ability to execute quickly under the technical direction of a senior lead
• ▹Fluent English

Nice to have

• ▹Workflow engine experience: Temporal, Camunda, Apache Airflow, AWS Step Functions
• ▹Telecom or BSS/OSS background: SIM lifecycle, provisioning, activation
• ▹Test framework experience: Go testing, Testify, mock frameworks
• ▹Load testing tools: k6, Locust, JMeter
• ▹Docker: building and running containerised services
• ▹Experience with event-sourced or append-only database patterns
• ▹Temporal.io SDK experience, even from a personal project
• ▹Python for scripting, test tooling, data processing
• ▹Prometheus: instrumenting code with metrics
• ▹Telecom protocol familiarity: Diameter, SS7, SMPP
