Senior Software Engineer, Product Platform

Responsibilities

• ▹Design and build scalable systems and shared libraries used by multiple engineering teams
• ▹Partner with product engineering teams to translate their needs into clean, well-documented APIs and services
• ▹Drive technical decisions and influence architecture across team boundaries
• ▹Define and uphold engineering standards for shared components
• ▹Participate in code review, design discussions and technical planning
• ▹Write and maintain documentation for the systems and libraries built
• ▹Contribute to building Vanta's engineering culture as the company scales

Requirements

• ▹5+ years of backend or fullstack software engineering experience with a focus on platform or shared infrastructure
• ▹Experience building shared APIs, services or platform components used by multiple teams
• ▹Familiarity with distributed systems, event-driven architecture or message queues such as Kafka or SQS
• ▹Excellent communication skills to work cross-functionally with engineering, product and design
• ▹Track record of shipping high-quality, maintainable software
