Responsibilities

• ▹Solve complex technical problems inside and across Langdock's shared services where existing building blocks or standard architectures are insufficient
• ▹Design distributed state and execution systems that stay correct when work is concurrent, long-running, retried, resumed or moved between processes; define explicit invariants for ordering, idempotency, recovery and tenant isolation
• ▹Improve how customer and agent-generated data is stored, versioned, moved and recovered while preserving consistency and data residency
• ▹Develop the isolation, runtime and scheduling mechanisms behind a shared sandbox service for untrusted code (persistent filesystems, deny-by-default networking, fast startup, suspension and resumption)
• ▹Improve the serving systems beneath the Model Gateway, optimizing throughput, latency, accelerator utilization, reliability and cost
• ▹Make CPU, memory, storage, network and accelerator capacity explicit; improve placement, admission control, backpressure, autoscaling and recovery
• ▹Build the concurrent metering mechanism behind billing (model tokens, sandbox compute time) with idempotent ingestion, atomic reservations, reconciliation and auditable records
• ▹Operate what you build in production and lead the fix when something breaks

Requirements

• ▹Experience owning technically difficult production systems in areas such as distributed systems, databases, runtimes, inference, networking or storage
• ▹Precise reasoning about concurrency, isolation, ordering, data loss and failure
• ▹First-principles thinking based on testable hypotheses and measurement to understand unfamiliar behavior
• ▹Enough systems depth to enter an unfamiliar part of the stack and make consequential changes safely
• ▹Use of AI tools as leverage while verifying their output and retaining ownership of the result
• ▹Clear communication of complex systems, openness about uncertainty, constructive collaboration
• ▹Existing right to work in Germany (no visa sponsorship)
