Senior Software Engineer, New Markets

Responsibilities

• ▹Design a highly scalable, mission-critical brokerage system
• ▹Develop and enhance middle- and back-office systems, including gRPC microservices, a React-based admin UI, and third-party integrations
• ▹Work with Alpaca's core teams to enhance the framework to support multiple languages, currencies and markets
• ▹Collaborate with tech leads in other regions asynchronously and in occasional meetings
• ▹Troubleshoot incidents and reported bugs to maintain system integrity and performance
• ▹Support regional recruitment, mentor talent, and foster Alpaca's culture in the region
• ▹Serve as the operational reliability and engineering lead and incident commander during regional business hours

Requirements

• ▹Proven track record of designing and building scalable applications
• ▹Full-stack engineering background
• ▹Comfortable challenging conventions and advocating for innovative solutions
• ▹Autonomy to architect and implement solutions while collaborating in a cross-functional team
