Senior Infrastructure and Data Engineer (Remote in Europe)

Responsibilities

• ▹Own and evolve the Kubernetes platform (GKE) on Google Cloud through Terraform, with infrastructure as code as an engineering discipline
• ▹Build and operate pipelines ingesting market data from multiple vendors (normalisation, validation, format compliance)
• ▹Own deployment, monitoring, alerting, and incident response for live trading systems
• ▹Own the relational and analytical databases behind trading and research: schema design, performance, operations, fault-tolerant architecture
• ▹Steward integrations with external data providers and broker connectivity
• ▹Cut operational toil through automation
• ▹Work directly alongside the CTO and the quant and data engineering team

Requirements

• ▹End-to-end ownership of a production infrastructure and data platform where reliability genuinely mattered
• ▹Kubernetes, GCP and Terraform in production, with infrastructure as code as an engineering discipline
• ▹Track record building reliable, automated pipelines from messy external sources, with familiarity with vendor quirks, corporate actions, adjustments, and timezone handling
• ▹Strong Python
