Stack

Responsibilities

• ▹Design, implement, and maintain cloud-based infrastructure and services at the intersection of agentic AI and biomedical data (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• ▹Contribute to the design and evolution of product architecture for scalable scientific computing, data processing, and AI engineering use cases
• ▹Act as primary point of contact for internal stakeholders, translating their needs into actionable platform solutions
• ▹Manage up effectively, ensuring leadership has context, visibility, and confidence in the team's direction and delivery
• ▹Navigate conflicting priorities, make clear trade-off decisions, and drive alignment across teams
• ▹Build and lead a high-performing platform engineering team
• ▹Coach, mentor, and develop team members through regular feedback and career conversations
• ▹Participate in a shared on-call rotation

Requirements

• ▹8+ years of software engineering experience from a leading tech/AI startup or scale-up, with proven experience managing an internationally distributed team
• ▹Proven ability to manage conflicting priorities and drive alignment in complex, fast-moving environments with multiple stakeholders
• ▹Track record of delivering individual technical results while developing the people around you
• ▹Experience driving software engineering productivity with AI tooling (e.g. Claude Code), as an IC or a manager
• ▹Experience with either Python or Go
• ▹Management of cloud infrastructure as code (AWS, Azure, or GCP) using Terraform and Kubernetes
• ▹Strong experience with Docker
• ▹Experience in architectural design of complex systems at scale
• ▹Full professional proficiency in English
• ▹Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally and translate complex technical trade-offs into clear communication

• ▹Familiarity with scientific or biomedical use cases
• ▹Experience in AI and agentic AI applications

• ▹Experience with MLOps practices
• ▹Frontend skills
