Senior Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• ▹Deliver high-quality, well-tested code and lead technical discussions that raise the bar across the team
• ▹Proactively identify and mitigate risks, estimate large projects, and advocate for technical investments
• ▹Review and optimize system performance, driving improvements in latency, throughput and resource consumption
• ▹Make significant design contributions to major systems, writing ADRs and leading design reviews
• ▹Drive scalable, secure, maintainable architecture, applying threat modeling and secure design principles
• ▹Drive team-wide alignment, clarify goals, and communicate proactively with cross-functional partners
• ▹Coach engineers, mentor juniors with structured development goals, contribute to interviews and calibration
• ▹Lead large, ambiguous projects end-to-end, from delivery planning through production and maintenance
• ▹Own incident response and postmortems for team services
• ▹Use AI tools as a force multiplier for prototyping and scaffolding, while applying appropriate skepticism to AI-generated output

Requirements

• ▹5+ years of professional software engineering experience with senior-level ownership and delivery
• ▹Strong full stack proficiency, with depth in at least one layer
• ▹Experience architecting and delivering complex, distributed systems in cloud-native environments (e.g. AWS, serverless, containers)
• ▹Demonstrated ability to lead large, complex projects
