Responsibilities

• ▹Build elegant, idiomatic, and resilient SDKs powering Braintrust's LLM evaluation and AI observability platform
• ▹Integrate with major AI providers and frameworks (OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini)
• ▹Build tools and automation to improve testing, profiling, and release workflows
• ▹Collaborate closely with backend, platform, and product teams for a cohesive developer experience
• ▹Act as a community ambassador, helping users get fixes merged

Requirements

• ▹Deep expertise in Go and building fast, idiomatic, reliable libraries
• ▹Proficiency with SDK tooling: testing frameworks, profilers, CI/CD, packaging systems
• ▹Strong focus on developer experience: clean APIs, clear docs, thoughtful error handling, backward compatibility
• ▹Experience wrapping, patching, or extending existing frameworks/SDKs to add observability and control
• ▹Experience maintaining or contributing to production-grade open-source libraries

Nice to have

• ▹Contributions to popular open-source projects, or leading SDK adoption at an organization
• ▹Familiarity with tracing/observability tools like OpenTelemetry
• ▹Experience with tools in the LLM/AI ecosystem
