Responsibilities

• ▹Develop and enhance the MSCI Index Development Platform and IndexMetrics Real-Time application using modern software engineering practices, Python, Azure, and AI-assisted development tools
• ▹Champion AI-enabled software development across the organization by evaluating tools, developing best practices, delivering training, and providing technical guidance
• ▹Contribute to quantitative research initiatives, including factor investing and alternative data projects, from research through product delivery

Requirements

• ▹Excellent Python software development skills, with experience using AI-assisted development tools
• ▹Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to critically evaluate AI-generated code
• ▹Understanding of equity markets, portfolio construction, or quantitative investment processes, or strong interest in these areas
• ▹Excellent communication and collaboration skills across research, engineering, and business teams

Nice to have

• ▹Experience designing reusable software libraries, frameworks, APIs, or developer platforms
• ▹Experience with Azure, Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and modern software engineering practices
