Cybersecurity Content Writer

Cybersecurity Content Writer role on GitGuardian's marketing team, turning complex technical ideas into compelling content for developer, security, and business audiences.

Responsibilities

  • Writes and edits high-quality content across formats: blog posts, whitepapers, guides, PR bylines, and web copy
  • Translates complex technical concepts into clear, engaging, audience-appropriate content for developers, security leaders, and business stakeholders
  • Develops strong narratives connecting audience pain points, market trends, GitGuardian's expertise, and the buyer journey
  • Applies content marketing best practices (audience, intent, funnel stage, SEO/AEO, readability, conversion) without sacrificing editorial quality
  • Partners with internal subject matter experts across product, security, developer relations, sales, and marketing
  • Manages and maintains the content calendar
  • Supports the evolution of GitGuardian's SEO/AEO approach
  • Uses tools (Ahrefs, Google Search Console, Scrunch, Google Analytics, HubSpot) to evaluate content performance
  • Manages relationships with external authors, guest writers, freelancers, and content partners
  • Supports the demand generation team with campaign content, landing page copy, and email copy
  • Provides occasional copywriting support to other teams
  • Brainstorms and pitches new topic ideas for thought leadership, media coverage, and PR opportunities

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in content marketing, editorial content, or writing
