Senior Security Operations Engineer

Responsibilities

• ▹Drive security projects that protect the business, customers, brand, and employees
• ▹Track security trends and incidents, implement controls based on lessons learned
• ▹Perform security reviews of infrastructure and product features
• ▹Update policies and procedures
• ▹Scale detection and response capabilities across the environment
• ▹Track and drive vulnerability remediation across production and corporate environments
• ▹Assist with security training
• ▹Act as an escalation point for automated detections
• ▹Proactively hunt for threats
• ▹Perform on-call duties, including incident commander responsibilities
• ▹Automate security controls using Tines

Requirements

• ▹8+ years in a security role managing complex cloud environments
• ▹Excellent written and verbal English skills
• ▹Deep familiarity with cloud security (deploying, managing, securing, monitoring AWS or Azure services)
• ▹Familiarity with securing container technologies (Docker, AWS ECS, Kubernetes)
• ▹Skilled with AWS security tools (CloudTrail, GuardDuty, CloudWatch, Security Hub, Inspector, Config)
• ▹Experience implementing and monitoring controls for frameworks like SOC2, ISO, CMMC, FedRAMP
• ▹Experience automating security tasks with SOAR tools and/or Python/Go
• ▹Knowledge of command-line, log analysis, common attacks, and OS hardening for Linux and macOS
• ▹Experience on an on-call rotation in a fast-paced environment
• ▹Excellent analytical and time management skills
