Senior Data Engineer

Stack

Responsibilities

• ▹Maintain and evolve data structures
• ▹Build new ETL flows and maintain/improve existing ones
• ▹Design new data structures and data modelling concepts
• ▹Ensure data quality through validation methods
• ▹Write, optimize and maintain stored procedures
• ▹Investigate message-based architectures for data streams
• ▹Work within an Agile (Scrum, 2-week sprint) framework
• ▹Troubleshoot issues and manage incidents
• ▹Document processes and procedures (KBs, runbooks, topology)
• ▹Work closely with stakeholders to deliver accurate, timely insights

Requirements

• ▹Advanced T-SQL coding
• ▹Experience with relational and non-relational DBs (MSSQL 2014-2017)
• ▹Familiarity with ETL processes (SSIS)
• ▹Familiarity with DWH and ETL concepts
• ▹Familiarity with data modelling concepts
• ▹Familiarity with reporting and analytical tools (SSRS/SSAS)
• ▹Git experience
• ▹Database development and tuning techniques
• ▹Excellent verbal and written English communication

Nice to have

• ▹Automation and scripting experience
• ▹Additional programming skills (.NET, Python, R, Scala)
• ▹Knowledge of Big Data concepts and streaming architectures
