Head of Engineering

Responsibilities

• ▹Leading and growing multiple engineering teams within the product portfolio
• ▹Maintaining an informed opinion on system health and code quality while driving product delivery velocity
• ▹Serving as a change agent, simplifying complex cross-departmental hurdles
• ▹Advocating for AI-first methodologies and driving engineering excellence
• ▹Partnering with Product and Design leaders to balance customer, business, and technical priorities
• ▹Championing adoption of responsible AI architecture and AI-powered workflows
• ▹Leading technical modernization efforts, moving from monoliths to decoupled services and API-first integration patterns
• ▹Executing complex, cross-team programs of work with clear accountability and risk management
• ▹Defining hiring strategies and growing high-performing talent
• ▹Raising the bar on operational excellence through strong ownership of production services

Requirements

• ▹Deep understanding of software architecture, design trade-offs, and managing technical debt at scale
• ▹Proven track record of managing and growing high-performing leaders and engineering teams
• ▹Strength navigating areas of conflict in an open, positive, and proactive way
• ▹Strong strategic acumen to identify and simplify complex, cross-functional challenges in fast-scaling environments
• ▹Ability to foster a growth mindset and culture of accountability across multiple teams
• ▹A bias for action, making good decisions fast rather than perfect decisions slowly
