Responsibilities

• ▹Design, build, and own robust data pipelines from source systems (Postgres, MongoDB, event streams, third-party APIs) into the warehouse
• ▹Make pragmatic architecture decisions on ingestion, storage, transformation, and serving layers
• ▹Drive the dbt project: structure, conventions, testing, documentation, and CI
• ▹Own and evolve the semantic layer so metrics are defined once and consumed consistently
• ▹Champion data cataloging, documentation, and end-to-end lineage
• ▹Own data quality end-to-end: tests, monitoring, alerting, lineage, SLAs
• ▹Optimize warehouse and columnar query performance
• ▹Collaborate with BI, Product, Development, Marketing, and Finance
• ▹Mentor the wider BI/Data team through code reviews and pairing

Requirements

• ▹Strong experience building data pipelines from source systems (Postgres, MongoDB, event streams, APIs)
• ▹Experience driving a dbt project: structure, testing, documentation, CI
• ▹Experience with cloud data warehouses (Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, ClickHouse)
• ▹Strong SQL and Python skills
• ▹Experience with Docker and Git
• ▹Experience with data quality assurance and monitoring
• ▹Mentoring and code review experience
