Data Analyst – Power BI Specialist

Responsibilities

• ▹Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into data-driven solutions
• ▹Design and implement Power BI reports and dashboards that deliver key business insights
• ▹Develop and optimize data models within Power BI
• ▹Create and manage Power BI Dataflows, connecting and transforming data from various sources
• ▹Write SQL queries to retrieve, clean and transform data from SQL Server and PostgreSQL
• ▹Use DAX to create measures and calculated columns for in-depth analysis
• ▹Publish and manage Power BI reports and dashboards in the Power BI Service
• ▹Organize reports within Power BI workspaces, including managing permissions and access rights
• ▹Troubleshoot and optimize Power BI reports for accuracy, reliability and performance

Requirements

• ▹University degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, Software or Electrical Engineering or related field
• ▹2+ years of experience in business intelligence or data analysis with a strong focus on Power BI
• ▹Proficiency in DAX for calculations and data modeling
• ▹Experience with Power Query for data transformation and cleaning
• ▹Experience publishing, sharing and managing reports in the Power BI Service, including workspace administration
• ▹Strong understanding of data visualization principles and best practices
• ▹Knowledge of relational databases and SQL
• ▹Excellent analytical, problem-solving and communication skills
• ▹Fluency in oral and written English

Nice to have

• ▹Integrating Power BI with other Microsoft tools (Excel, Azure) and third-party applications
• ▹Leveraging Power BI's AI capabilities for advanced analytics, including machine learning models and automated insights
• ▹Familiarity with ML frameworks and libraries (TensorFlow, Scikit-learn, PyTorch)
• ▹Preprocessing and cleaning data for machine learning
• ▹Understanding of data warehousing concepts, including star and snowflake schema, particularly in SQL Server Data Warehouse
• ▹Familiarity with database management practices (indexing, optimization, maintenance)
• ▹ETL experience using SQL
• ▹Familiarity with Azure Document Intelligence for extracting information from documents
• ▹Relevant Microsoft certifications (e.g. Azure Data Scientist Associate, Power BI Data Analyst)
