Senior Fullstack Engineer (Elixir/Phoenix)

Responsibilities

• ▹Build and maintain a high-quality, maintainable codebase in Elixir, Phoenix, LiveView, TailwindCSS and daisyUI
• ▹Build the product in small iterations, prototyping early and often
• ▹Collaborate closely with Product, Design and other Engineers to find smart, balanced solutions
• ▹Shape the architecture for reliability, scalability and developer happiness
• ▹Build a clean, maintainable and tested codebase
• ▹Take ownership of privacy and security aspects from the start: encryption, data separation, GDPR compliance
• ▹Contribute ideas to improve the development process, stack and team culture

Requirements

• ▹Several years of professional experience as a Fullstack Engineer
• ▹Experience with Elixir or another Ruby-based language is a plus
• ▹Care about code quality balanced with pragmatism
• ▹Enjoy working in small, empowered teams
• ▹Product mindset: explore unclear requirements instead of waiting for perfect specs
• ▹Understanding of GDPR basics and secure software design
• ▹Curious, reflective attitude, willing to learn from failed experiments
• ▹Professional-level English required, German is a plus
• ▹Remote work possible from Germany, hybrid in Berlin ideal

Nice to have

• ▹Experience handling sensitive data, ideally health-related data
• ▹Solid understanding of encryption, key management and data privacy
• ▹Knowledge of DevOps and hosting environments
• ▹Familiarity with Shape Up methodology
