Network Administrator (m/f/d)

Responsibilities

• ▹Design, implement and operate network environments based on common systems (e.g. Meraki, Sonicwall, Fortinet, HP-Aruba, Cisco)
• ▹Steer and coordinate external IT service providers in the networking area
• ▹Organize and carry out trips abroad to commission and maintain networks
• ▹Monitor network availability and analyze and resolve incidents
• ▹Develop and enforce network standards together with the IT team
• ▹Support and train users on network-related questions
• ▹Maintain and document the network infrastructure on an ongoing basis
• ▹Maintain and further develop the monitoring tool in use (e.g. PRTG)

Requirements

• ▹At least 3 years of relevant network administration experience
• ▹Very good practical knowledge of the listed network components and vendors
• ▹Experience with network monitoring software, ideally PRTG
• ▹Deep understanding of network protocols, configuration and troubleshooting
• ▹Willingness for occasional business trips worldwide (max. 10%)
• ▹Fluent German, good English

Nice to have

• ▹Experience with cloud-based network technologies
• ▹Knowledge of global network security and multi-site IT environments
• ▹Basic understanding of related IT systems and software solutions
