Engineering Manager, Mobile

Responsibilities

• ▹Lead and grow a team of mobile engineers across iOS and Android, with responsibility for performance management, career development and hiring
• ▹Own the technical direction of Calendly's mobile applications: architecture, platform standards, engineering quality
• ▹Drive roadmap execution in close partnership with product and design
• ▹Partner cross-functionally with backend, platform, security and data teams
• ▹Establish engineering best practices for mobile: testing, code review, release processes, on-call/incident response
• ▹Represent mobile engineering in planning and leadership forums
• ▹Champion a high-trust, feedback-forward team culture
• ▹Drive AI adoption across the team to streamline code reviews and automate routine tasks

Requirements

• ▹5+ years of software engineering experience, significant hands-on work in native iOS (Swift) or Android (Kotlin), or both
• ▹3+ years of engineering management experience leading mobile engineers in a product-focused environment
• ▹Experience driving adoption of AI-powered tools and workflows
• ▹Demonstrated ability to manage the full lifecycle of a consumer or B2B mobile product
• ▹Experience operating at a scale comparable to Calendly's
• ▹Strong technical credibility: reviewing architecture proposals, unblocking engineers
• ▹Track record of building and retaining high-performing teams

Nice to have

• ▹Experience with both iOS and Android platforms
• ▹Background in SaaS or productivity tools where mobile is a primary touchpoint
• ▹Familiarity with mobile release operations: app store processes, staged rollouts, crash monitoring
• ▹Prior experience managing a team through a major platform migration
• ▹Exposure to React Native or cross-platform tooling
