Working Student – Embedded Software – Smart Home / IoT

Responsibilities

• ▹Develop innovative software solutions in the embedded Linux/Yocto environment, specifically for the Bosch Smart Home Controller
• ▹Create efficient shell scripts contributing to automation and system integration
• ▹Design and optimize the interfaces between the operating system and Java applications to ensure smooth communication
• ▹Analyze log files and errors as part of 3rd-level support when field issues occur
• ▹Carefully carry out regression tests for software releases to ensure product quality and stability

Requirements

• ▹Studies in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or comparable, with good academic performance
• ▹Experience in Linux and Shell as well as programming; knowledge of Java, C, C++, MQTT and Yocto is a plus
• ▹Communicative and independent personality, analytical, structured and persistent approach
• ▹On-site presence required, occasional mobile working possible
• ▹Enthusiasm for Smart Home and Linux; general enthusiasm
• ▹Fluent German and very good English

Nice to have

• ▹Knowledge of Java, C, C++, MQTT and Yocto
