Design Engineer

Responsibilities

• ▹Demonstrate proficiency in all metal building system design methodologies, including advanced and highly complex framing systems, custom configurations and non-standard structural solutions
• ▹Assume supervisory responsibilities in the absence of the Engineering Manager
• ▹Engage directly with customers to develop optimized building solutions
• ▹Design and oversee projects involving high-complexity metal building systems, ensuring compliance with structural codes, customer requirements and company standards
• ▹Apply a solid understanding of structural engineering principles, adapting company design standards to unique and custom building conditions
• ▹Provide professional oversight and responsibility for projects requiring signature and seal
• ▹Use structural design software proficiently, continuously expanding technical knowledge and customizing tools for non-standard applications
• ▹Adhere to project schedules, effectively managing shifting priorities and last-minute revisions

Requirements

• ▹Senior-level engineer, Licensed Professional Engineer
• ▹Ideally a background in metal or steel building systems and technical leadership
• ▹Ability to independently manage projects of all complexity levels
