Responsibilities

• ▹Design and implement backend services in Python to support asset onboarding, contract management, and market operations
• ▹Develop APIs and data pipelines to integrate application components with the broader information ecosystem
• ▹Build integration with messaging systems (MQTT, RabbitMQ) for real-time data ingestion
• ▹Work with PostgreSQL for relational and time-series data modeling, optimization, and integrity
• ▹Leverage AWS services (RDS, S3, IAM, Lambda, ECS, Docker)
• ▹Collaborate with product managers and domain experts to translate business needs into scalable software features
• ▹Contribute to agile delivery processes, including sprint planning, retrospectives, and team coordination

Requirements

• ▹6+ years of Python development experience (application development)
• ▹Proficiency in PostgreSQL, including schema design, performance tuning, and time-series data handling
• ▹Experience with AWS services (RDS, S3, IAM, ECS, and Docker)
• ▹Understanding of energy trading concepts such as position management, day-ahead/intraday markets, and ancillary services
• ▹Experience working with APIs, data pipelines and streaming, and other system integration paradigms
• ▹Familiarity with agile development practices and collaborative delivery environments

Nice to have

• ▹Knowledge of power markets, specifically in renewable technologies (solar, wind, battery energy storage) and their contracting specificities (PPA), asset management and energy trading
• ▹Experience or willingness to quickly learn developing modern web UIs using React with CSS-in-JS / Material UI / Emotion / Styled or equivalent
• ▹Experience with FastAPI or alternatives (e.g., Flask, Django)
• ▹Familiarity with container orchestration or CI/CD pipelines
