Senior Backend Developer

Responsibilities

• ▹Architect and oversee highly scalable, secure web applications, services and APIs
• ▹Champion AI-native development workflows, integrating AI coding agents to improve developer velocity and code quality
• ▹Partner with Product Managers and stakeholders to shape the technical roadmap
• ▹Define technical standards and lead robust code review processes
• ▹Collaborate with Support and CSM functions to proactively troubleshoot and resolve critical customer issues
• ▹Deepen the team's expertise in Open Banking and PSD2

Requirements

• ▹Expert-level experience with Java and the Spring Framework, with a proven track record in distributed systems and microservices architectures
• ▹Willingness to integrate AI coding agents into daily development workflow
• ▹Commercially minded and pragmatic, favouring cost-efficient solutions
• ▹API-first product mindset, prioritising customer outcomes
• ▹Self-starter who thrives in ambiguity and a fast-paced startup environment
• ▹Clear communicator bridging engineering and non-technical stakeholders
