Graduate Data Scientist

A first full-time Data Scientist opportunity for recent graduates, working from the London office 2-3 times a week on fraud detection, anti-money laundering, and claims automation products.

Responsibilities

  • Actively participate in the development of the fraud detection, anti-money laundering, and claim automation product suite
  • Work with various data types such as structured data, free text, documents, and images
  • Implement data engineering, usually from client extracts to insertion of data into data stores (SQL, ElasticSearch)
  • Develop, test, tune models and put them into production for tasks such as fraud detection and automation in complex environments
  • Automate key business tasks by implementing them in the production process framework in C#
  • Conduct meetings with clients and interact with external stakeholders, for feedback, business cases, and roadmap definition

Requirements

  • Code-savvy: a degree in computer science and/or experience developing apps with real users, writing maintainable, production-quality code
  • AI-savvy: a degree in machine learning and/or statistics, clear understanding of statistics and machine learning problems
  • Client facing, comfortable communicating with clients on a regular basis
  • Business smart, interested in learning and mastering the insurance business aspects of the products
  • Business fluent in English
