Responsibilities

• ▹Build, install, configure, upgrade, and maintain physical and virtual infrastructure
• ▹Ensure systems are consistently delivered quickly and with high availability
• ▹Work with the development team to design fast, scalable systems
• ▹Handle scripting/automation in BASH/sh, PHP, Python, Perl
• ▹Remove performance bottlenecks from current systems
• ▹Apply system upgrades, firmware, and infrastructure changes
• ▹Proactively monitor and manage system health and configuration
• ▹Provide 24x7 on-call support on a rotating basis

Requirements

• ▹3+ years experience administering Linux/UNIX systems
• ▹Familiarity with cloud computing platforms (AWS, DigitalOcean, Linode)
• ▹Understanding of container technologies (Docker, podman, LXC), Kubernetes
• ▹Understanding of the PHP language and its configuration
• ▹Knowledge of networking tools/technologies: HAProxy, ingress, routing, firewall (iptables/nftables)
• ▹Solid understanding of TCP/IP, HTTP, SMTP, and DNS for debugging
• ▹Ability to adapt to new technologies
• ▹Excellent communication and time-management skills

Nice to have

• ▹DevOps experience
• ▹GitHub account, open source contributions, or a personal project
