Senior Software Engineer (Ruby/RoR, Chatbots & AI)

Responsibilities

• ▹Building complex Ruby on Rails services within the Workato platform
• ▹Continuously researching Slack and MS Teams ecosystems, understanding trends, tracking changes
• ▹Contributing in all phases of the development lifecycle
• ▹Writing well-designed, testable, efficient code
• ▹Evaluating and proposing improvements to the existing system
• ▹Supporting continuous improvement by investigating alternatives and technologies, presenting them for architectural review

Requirements

• ▹BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject
• ▹5+ years of strong experience developing, shipping and maintaining Rails applications
• ▹Excellent debugging, analytical, problem-solving, and social skills
• ▹Solid knowledge of object-oriented programming and design
• ▹Spoken English (Intermediate or higher)

Nice to have

• ▹Experience with Go
• ▹Experience with JavaScript frameworks (AngularJS, React, etc)
• ▹Knowledge of MS Teams or Slack platform and API
